Meet the Team
Labrador Petro-Management Pty Ltd (LPM) was established in Perth, Western Australia in 1987 as Australia’s first drilling project management company. LPM is owned and operated by Drilling and Completions professionals with a vast array of local, national and international experience – working for International super-majors through to junior exploration companies.
Andrew has over 25 years of continuous active global industry experience in the successful exploration, development and decommissioning of oil and gas assets, including some of the more significant recent discoveries. He has led Labrador’s operations and new developments team for the last 2 years focusing on project management, procedures, and implementing drilling management systems.
Prior to joining LPM, Andrew directly managed Santos Offshore operations during the period from 2014 – 2017 after working in both their Onshore and Offshore teams as a drilling engineer. He has previously held executive and leadership roles throughout the sector including with Baker Hughes, Chevron, Quadrant Energy and Santos.
Andrew has significant experience in remote operations and dynamic, challenging work environments, including developing opportunities in the former Soviet Union (Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan), Africa and the Middle East. His experience spans working effectively with Super Majors through to Micro-Cap explorers.
Andrew has experience successfully navigating regulatory regimes and has an in depth understanding of the requirements within Australia Federal and State jurisdictions. His other strengths include effective contracting and procurement, budgeting, cost control and operational logistics.
Austen joined LPM in 2019 as the Principal Engineer. His experience of land and offshore rigs, along with various office roles, underpin his firm understanding of complex rig operations, corporate standards, procedures and assurance processes.
Prior to joining LPM, Austin worked at Tullow Oil, holding office-based roles in operations, planning, design, corporate engineering and was the acting Chief Well Engineer prior to leaving to join LPM.
Business Development Manager
Neil joined the LPM team in mid 2017 and has been an integral part of our setup ever since. He is an oilfield professional with over 18 years of experience in sales and technical roles, in a variety of locations around the world Neil holds a Masters in Drilling and Well Engineering from Robert Gordon University.
Neil worked for National Oilwell Varco (NOV) for over 11 years, utilising a broad-based technical knowledge, he became the focal point with various major clients in Australia for all NOV divisions. In addition, Neil provided drilling optimisation and operational support to local and international operations.
